Cambridge College Honorary Recipient Alberto Vasallo, Jr. honored

The Boston Business Journal announced the recipients of its 2015 Leaders in Diversity Awards, the publication’s annual program that honors companies and businesspeople for their leadership in promoting inclusiveness and economic opportunity. This year’s event was held Oct. 20 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

Alberto Vasallo, Jr., Cambridge College Honorary Recipient and founder and publisher of El Mundo Newspaper, received the Trailblazer Award.

“Diversity and inclusion should be a part of everything we do in business, because research shows that diversity of thought and ideas results in the best outcomes, and that only happens when we actively seek people and ideas different from our own,” said Gale Murray, publisher of the Boston Business Journal. “This year’s honorees are doing noteworthy work in our business community and we are excited to give them this recognition."
