CC-Springfield Hosts Voices from Inside

The Cambridge College Springfield campus was pleased to host “Voices from Inside (VFI)” a non-profit group that provides writing workshops to women who are or have been incarcerated. VFI brings the women they work with into the community for conversations, presentations and performances so that they can share their writing and interact with the community.
Heartfelt poetry and writings with titles, such as, “Angry Justice,” “Warrior Strong: Facing the Beast Inside,” and “Starting Here,” were performed and shared with students, faculty and community members. As one member states, “VFI helps me put my inner thoughts on paper and not hide them anymore. I can write whatever I want and not feel judged.”
