Rebecca Heimel, Cambridge College Associate Director for Online Programs and Strategic Initiatives
Rebecca Heimel, Associate Director for Online Programs and Strategic Initiatives

Ms. Rebecca Heimel has been appointed to the position of Associate Director for Online Programs and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Academic Affairs. In this new role, she will report directly to Provost Catherine Koverola and will be charged with the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of online programming across the College. She will also continue to be responsible for the oversight of our summer institutes.

Rebecca has served effectively as the Coordinator of Extended Learning for the past 18 months, a role that was originally designed to support the College’s summer residency programs as well as the launch of a new online learning initiative.  She has been responsible for all aspects of online learning and residency-based education. Rebecca has continually maintained a functional system while continually evaluating and improving our online/hybrid learning environment.  She is the key point of contact for implementation of the College’s contract with Granite State College, which provides online learning services to faculty and students and has been instrumental in ensuring the success of this partnership. Finally, when the College holds its annual residency program at Bentley University, she is the person who interfaces with the host site to assure that the student experience is excellent and that all student learning needs are met.

Prior to Rebecca’s position as Coordinator of Extended Learning, she worked for three years in the Office of Student Affairs as the Coordinator of Academic and Disability Support Services and made significant contributions in ensuring that students received seamless and caring services. Rebecca’s deeply thoughtful and caring approach has been a benefit to Cambridge College at so many levels and we are so fortunate to have her in our community.

Rebecca’s office is located at 1000 Massachusetts Avenue (Room 238), and you may contact her at Extension 1624 or Rebecca.Heimel@cambridgecollege.edu.
